Hi Everyone,
After a slow start we have had a number of kids sign up for All Stars cricket at Kimble which is the ECB's new national initiative to make cricket more accessible and more appealing to 5-8 year olds. It is also our big chance to rebuild junior cricket at Kimble and safeguard the future of the club.
We will be running 8 sessions on Monday evenings 6-7pm, starting on Monday 5 June. We could still do with a few more children to make the sessions really successful, so if you have any 5-8 year olds yourself or know people who do, please encourage them to sign up at https://www.ecb.co.uk/play/all-stars/centres. Registration has to be done on line so that the ECB can send them their personalised cricket kit.
In order to make the experience as good as it can be for kids and parents and to give a good them a good first impression of Kimble we are looking for volunteers to come down to the club on Monday evenings to help out for an hour, which could involve working behind the bar, helping out with some of the activities or just chatting to parents to make them feel welcome.
If you can help or if you would like more information on All Stars cricket, contact Bob Whitehead on 07786 854531 or email secretary@kimblecricketclub.co.uk.
