Match report In a game that could have ended in another dismal defeat, we were able to find some magic in the presence of the returning Ben Mooney. At one stage in the oxford innings it looked like they were on for over 250, however were dragged back to 240, by some clever bowling from the Skipper Ady, who claimed figures of 5-58.
Now, as the openers went out to start the chase, numbers 3 and 4 were casually sat in the changing room. After one ball Brad had been cleaned bowled, leaving Danny in a state of panic, rushing around to find his gloves. This left the way from him to get out the very next ball, causing John Stackhouse to arrive at the crease, and also leave promptly, only getting 1 run. After this rush, we found ourselves at 1-3 after 1.1 overs. This paved the way for a fantastic knock of 108 from Mooney, who scored 96 of his runs in boundaries. It was great to watch. When he was out, Michael took over and cracked a superb 74 not out, crashing 3 sixes along the way, and was supported well from Phil, whop ended 27 not out. Greta fighting spirit resulted in a great 5 wicket win with 2 overs to spare.
