Match report Kimble U-15s plus a few oldies get the better of Witney Mills. Put in to bat on a good wicket and a lighting outfield, Tone and Pete D put on 120 for the first wicket, after Tone departed for 58 there saw a flurry of wickets before Will Stone came in a hit a quick 32. A few more wickets fell before the innings closed on 211 with Pete D remaining 69 not out, his first 50 in any competition. After tea Jordan Price struck in the first over but then a century partnership from Witney put them ahead of the run rate. Then three wickets for no runs either side of the rain break evened up the game. Witney then went for the win, a task made easier by the fact that it was too dark to see the ball. But with three overs left and 18 needed to win the rain came again. A special thanks to Geoff Stone for stepping in at the last minute to give us eleven.
