Match report The seconds got off to a winning start with a 6 wicket victory against Bledlow 3rds. After winning the toss Tony decided to bowl first on a good batting track. Bledlow opened with their first team professional and his son, the Parmar's and they proceeded to score at a reasonable rate. Despite not getting a wicket the fielding was excellent and the heads didn't drop. It was't until the 33rd over that a wicket fell and that was due to a brilliant one handed catch on the boundary by Jordan Price. Then two more wickets fell in the next two overs and with that the run rate dropped to one an over, leaving Kimble to chase 171.
Kimble's reply started well until a silly runout, Tony making the run easily only to find Roy still in his crease (still thinking about his superb cover drive, the over before). Roy followed shortly afterwards LBW to an inside edge. The run rate slowed as first Jon Richards, Joe Smith and then Mo decided to deal in singles. At 66-5 things were not looking good until Stuart had a usual quick fire bash which left Alex Ross and Jordan Price to knock off the 70 that was required, their task made a little easier when Bledlow lost their main bowler for bowling three beamers and then they lost three players who had to leave for the Bledlow Ball, much the annoyance of the senior Bledlow players. But all in all a good win.
