Match report The seconds had the best of the draw against Stokenchurch after posting 259 for 6 dec off 41 overs. This total proved too much for Stokenchurch on a pitch that offered little to the bowler. Tony S lost the toss again, which meant Kimble were batting first again but they got off to a terrific start. Tony S (29) and Arun S (56) putting on 75 for the first wicket off just 13 overs. Pete D (0) came and went, which brought Buddika S (79 no) to the crease and after a slow start he started to find his range scoring off every ball. His innings included three sixes, the last a straight one over the far sight screen. Alex R (18) came in and kept the score ticking over, Will Stone (4) and Jordon P (3) both went cheaply, Jordon unluckily run out backing up when the ball deflected off the bowler's foot. In came Stuart S (43 no) who with Buddika S put on 70 off 5 overs, which included 20 off one over from Stuart, this allowed Tony S to declare after 41 overs.

In reply Stokenchurch never looked as if they were going to go for it and off 13 overs they were 38 for 1. Stuart S and Jordon P both bowled well but weren't causing too many problems for the batsmen. The Stokenchurch captain was scoring freely until he cover drove Nathan P in the air and was caught by Pete D leaping up to take a great catch. The catches were sticking as first Will S and Buddika S, yes Buddika, took catches to get rid of the batsman. Buddika's came off the worst ball of Pete D's 8 overs as the batsman did really well to reach a short wide one. But then catches started to go down first Stuart S, then Will S and then right at the end Tony S. Although he was put off by a diving Alex R who had forgotten he was there. The dropped catches allowed the Stokenchurch youngsters to see out the last 10 overs with out too much trouble.
