Match report Kimble go into the final week of the season knowing that a win will see them stay outside of the bottom 2, but it won’t come easily against promotion chasing Bicester.
Dinton won the toss and chose to have a bat in real muggy conditions, and got off to solid start, with Stu leaking a few boundaries.
The introduction of Usman saw Kimble get the breakthrough, but Dinton were still finding the boundary regularly.
After a few Miss Fields and some big hits, Dinton declared on 223-8, but Kimble felt they were still in the game as the pitch was flat and the outfield was lightning fast.
However, they got off to a dreadful start, losing both openers, leaving them 7-2. A century partnership got them firmly back into the game, with Buddika hitting a fine 50 as he continued settling well into 1st team cricket.
Unfortunately, Dinton got a quick double breakthrough to put Kimble on the back foot, but they managed to stay in the game.
As time ran out, they ended just short on 216-8, giving themselves a helpful but slightly disappointing 10 points.(scorecard to follow)
