Match report Kimble 2s ended up with a draw against Bledlow Ridge 2s (who had M Sabri to thank for everything). Tony S won the toss again and chose to bowl. Mark T (0 for 39) and Babar P (0 for 48) opened the bowling and restricted the Bledlow openers to around three an over but it was Nathan P (1 for 58) who struck first removing D Saint for 38, caught behind by Alex R (who had earlier put one down off Babar) in the 17th over. The game continued with Bledlow still scoring around three an over until Derek P (2 for 24) struck twice in successive balls to reduce Bledlow to 93 for 3 in 26th over. However, this bought in M Sabri who right from the off starting scoring quickly but at 153 for 4 in the 37th over Kimble were in a good position. The fourth wicket a stumping for Alex R who had Hillary stumped for the second time, the first after the batsman walked out of his crease and was still standing there after the appeal only for the Bledlow umpire to wake up and say not out. Before Mr Sabri got going, Mo M had bowled eight overs for 27, and was out of the attack as Sabri started playing the ball all around the ground and with only Nathan P who could run and throw the score was building up and with Sabri reaching his century with a 6 off the last ball Bledlow finished on 238 for 4.

During the tea interval the weather started to close in and by the time Ali W (0) and Tony S (4) went out to bat it was pretty dark and with a nippy left arm over it wasn't long before Kimble were 17 for 3 off 7 overs, Niron J (0) the third batsman to go. Alex R (80 not out) an Matt T (5) started to steady the innings and with the help of extras, the run rate was around four an over. After Nathan P (9) went with the score on 63, batting points looked along way off but as the weather got better Babar P (39) got the scoring going and started to worry Bledlow as he started to find the boundary including a large 6 off Sabri but once he went Kimble's chance of a win went as well, as new batsman Mo M (10) frustrated the Bledlow fielders with his defensive shots, drawing them in before smashing the ball to the boundary. Meanwhile Alex R was playing a controlled innings not taking an chances but a century was just out of reach. Mo M went with the score on 179 giving Mr Sabri a wicket in his 15th and last over, which left Qasim A (8 not out) and Alex R to see out the remaining overs and leave Kimble on 198 for 7. Another good performance from the 2s which on another day would have seen a victory but that's the way it goes.

One game to go so lets try and end on a victory away at Tiddington.
