Match was Abandoned at tea.

Match report The final game of the season was abandoned just after a poor tea as the rain came and looked set for the rest of the day. As Brackley managed to complete their game they leapfrogged us so that we finished seventh. As for the game itself Tony S won the toss again and decided to have a bowl and once again we took to the field without our full allocation due to the late arrival of players. This meant that Nathan P (0 for 45) and Mo M (0 for 14) opened the bowling. Both bowled well especially Mo, who had a dropped catch, a very close LBW and clear stumping turned down. The stumping was the worst decision this season with the batsman still standing outside the crease when he looked at the umpire. Tony S wasn't amused. The team were fielding well on a tricky outfield except Qasim A who had a bad day as the ball went through him on a couple of occasions. Fielder of the day was Matt T, who stopped everything and chased everything down. Derek P (2 for 32) in his last game for Kimble reduced Tiddington to 53 for 3 before a partnership moved the score on to 126. Tiddington were riding their luck as shots were going wide or falling short of the fielders. Qasim A then replaced Derek and picked up two wickets, it could have been three if not for a dropped catch from Alex R, who did hold on to one off of Derek's bowling. Tiddington finished their innings on 170. The rain then came and that was it, so it was all off to Kimble for the awards evening, which was well attended. Thanks to everyone for attending and for Ruth and Mandy for supplying the food. Here's to next season.
