Match report Kimble are in another relegation scrap, and the current crop of players really need to sort it out fast if they want to continue playing in division 5. This week saw them pop over to Kingston Bagpuize in what was a decent game of cricket that they should have won. Captain Rose won the toss again and had another bowl, with several of his players looking to run off their hangovers. Sam had a day to forget and had to be dragged off after bowling some beamers. Nathan bowled well on his return to the side while Stu, Usman and Brad worked hard with little reward on a flat pitch. The fielding was poor yet again, while extras were also far too high for a team desperate to win. These issues have to be sorted out fast.
Chasing 249, Pete fell early and then trudged off the pitch in a huff. Ewan and Brad then got the scoreboard rolling on nicely before Jack came to join Ewan for a wonderful partnership. The duo was scoring runs all around the ground, putting their team in a great position to win the game. However it was not to be as late wickets halted the run chase, with Alex Ross continuing his poor form as they ended on 241. Next week they travel to Didcot in what is a must win game, giving the players a week to gather their thoughts.
