Match report Kimble roared back into the survival battle that has the whole of the Cherwell league gripped with excitement after an emphatic victory away at Didcot.
They won the toss and stuck the opposition in on a rough looking wicket, but wickets did not come early. However, runs were hard to come by and the ground fielding was better than usual. Wickets then began to come for the spinners, with Brad and Usman doing the main damage. After some late hitting from the Didcot lower order, Kimble were left chasing 200 for victory.
A couple of early wickets had Kimble worried at 30-2, but this only brought Lord Foster to join Ewan at the crease. Once again they batted wonderfully together, with Ewan showing his class to get the crowd jumping for joy. He began to score easily all around the ground, making the bowlers very frustrated. He was joined by Rossy at the end to give Kimble a much needed 7 wicket win, as they head into another must win game against Oxford next weekend.
