Match report Kimble were plunged back into the relegation scrap after a feeble display against a resurgent Bledlow Ridge.
Bowling first after losing the toss, the opening bowlers kept things tidy, with Nathan picking up the first wicket of the match. Raza then came on and caused havoc, taking 4 wickets in the process. However, the other bowlers could not keep things tight as runs were still coming quickly. Kimble lost their way through the middle overs, dropping 4 key catches, and showed a lack of desire in the field. Stu dragged it back at the end to bowl the Ridge out for 229, yet this was still a large ask for Kimble’s shaky batting unit.
This proved to be the case after Pete was out early again for a duck, and was soon followed by Jordy. Brad and Jack then got Kimble into the match, before Dakin ripped through the middle order, leaving Kimble at 100-5, and needing to block out for the draw. They managed to do that just about, ending on 169-9. With only 2 games to go, Kimble must show some fight and desire if they want to be playing division 5 cricket next season.
