Match report Thanks to Mark T for captaining and organising the team especially after his 5 rounds of golf in Spain, the previous week. An exciting game which Kimble lost with 3 balls to spare. Batting first Kimble were in a reasonable position at 99 for 3 thanks to Ranesh S ( 35) and Babar P (23) but 99 for 3 became 99 for 7. To make matters worse Ali W still had not reached the ground, another wicket went down and still no Ali. But Matt T and Peter S held on until Ali was at the ground. Ali W (19) and Peter S (19) put on 33 for the last wicket to take the score to 162.
In reply Stokenchurch lost an early wicket but then the experienced Langford and Murton took the score past 100 then Mark T gave the ball to Ali W to see what he could do. He promptly removed both batsman to leave Stokenchurch 136 for 3. Wickets started to fall at regularly intervals to leave Stokenchurch 160 for 8 with an over to go, a dropped catch added to the excitement but Stokenchurch got home with 3 balls to spare.
