Match report After the disappointing loss last week Kimble 2s turned it around to claim a victory over the Tiddington 3s miseries. The Tiddington captain called wrong at the toss and despite the heat Tony S decided to have a bowl. Straight from the start Nathan P (1 for 34) and Raja (4 for 23) bowled well, not giving the Tiddington openers any opportunity to score, Nathan again unlucky not to pick up more wickets in his first spell unlike Raja, who bowled a 15 over spell despite the heat. The fielding was excellent which helped frustrate Tiddington. After Matt T (1 for 23) finished his spell it was left to Mark T (3 for 24) to find some form. A run out and the last wicket from Nathan left Tiddington all out for 142, a total greatly aided by 46 extras, something we need to cut down on.

After a wonderful tea with plenty of homemade cakes, courtesy of the captain's wife, Arun S (32) and Tony S (24) set about getting the runs needed. They were going along nicely at 4 an over until the introduction of spin, which saw Tony S push one back straight into silly mid offs hands. Buddika (7) and Usman (15) continued the scoring whilst Arun supported from the other end. Once Usman was out Raja (29) quicken the scoring with 3 large sixes but once he was out quickly followed by Arun, Kimble still required 18. As it was Nathan P (13 no) and Martin L (4) saw the side home for a well deserved victory which was celebrated with a drink by the senior section of the team as Tiddington left the ground in silence.
